Thank You

Thank you for all the beautiful and encouraging words, prayers and virtual hugs. We feel so loved and comforted and will treasure each one of these sentiments for days to come. Each comment, text and tribute has been a source of joy that has brought me to tears over and over again.

About Bill Sweeney

In 1996, at the age of 36, I was diagnosed with ALS. The neurologist gave me 3-5 years to live. 24 years later... :-) I'm completely paralyzed and unable to speak. By God's grace and the great care of my wife, I'm still here. I live to encourage and give hope to others going through difficult times.

  2. Thank you, dear Mary, for being a friend to all of us too. We will miss Bill. Thank you for sharing him with us. What a wonderful team you both are. I’m continuing to pray for God to help you complete the book. I also hope you will post here on the Unshakablehope blog regularly.

Please tell your daughters and Bill’s brother that I was blessed by their words. Bill would have loved the hope they displayed. ❤

  7. You’ve been such a warrior of love and strength for so long, Mary. And now that Bill has gone home to be with Jesus, you begin a new adventure with your girls. May you sense the peace and presence of God in every moment. May your grief be filled with beautiful memories of all you and Bill were able to do to glorify our Lord. And may you experience His shalom throughout the coming days, weeks, and months. Thank you for sharing your family with us. With much gratitude and love, Dayle.

  17. Dear Mary, when I received your news the other day of Bills death I felt very emotional even though I’ve never met you and Bill or your family. It’s so amazing how Gods Holy Spirit binds us together in the family of God. When I see the love and commitment that you have poured out over all these years and Bills perseverance and servant heart I feel so proud of you both, and overwhelmed by Gods grace.poured out over you and through you.
As I prayed for you this morning I had a picture of Jesus carrying you, holding you so closely.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Every blessing to you and your family,
    Jane (UK)
