  1. The volume wouldn’t work. I stuck my head next to the speaker to hear. You two are unstoppable force for faith, hope, and charity. Love to both of you.

    • Hi Cindy! I have heard that some people have had trouble with the audio. I’m not sure why that is. I’m sorry you had trouble hearing. Thanks for taking the time to watch. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since Bill left. Thanks for the comments you made on his blog over the years. I visited your blog the other day and was blown away by your photographs. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  3. I have not been active at WordPress for so many years, few months ago I had an urge to check what’s Bill up to, but I did not pursue and I am deeply regret that decision. I missed my chance to possibly chat with him via comments.
I should never allow my laziness to take over any urge comes my way.

I am sad but happy at the same time, for Bill no longer bond in his physical body and know that he is now freely moving around with his Heavenly Father.

May God’s peace and comfort be with Mary and her extended family!

Thank you Mary for sharing this beautiful and moving service for dear Bill. The words that he spoke in his interview so touched me about how we should allow God to use us in the midst of our trials whatever they may be. Bill never ran away from his suffering but always ran straight to Jesus who strengthened him and helped him every minute of every day. I hope and pray I will never forget that and apply it to my own life. Now Bill is sharing in the peace and joy of Heaven and may God be with you and your family always.

  22. Thank you for sharing this service with us. It was so moving and so beautiful. When I think of a life well lived, I shall forever remember Bill. Somehow, it just seems fitting to say that his name belongs alongside the other champions of faith in Hebrews chapter 11.
What a family you all are! God bless you is my prayer.

  23. Thank you for letting us be a part of this God-honoring service in celebration of Bill’s life and witness. He was truly an inspiration for all of us who knew him through his blog. As one person put it, Bill’s Unshakable Hope has turned into Unspeakable Joy. I’m thankful your daughters and Bill’s brother shared their thoughts, and that the pastor presented the Gospel. I pray that all of us who listened or watched will take the mantel and continue to unashamedly share Jesus with everyone, just like Bill did. We still have work to do, even as his work is done. Continued prayers for you, Mary, your family, and all who will miss this very special guy!

Thank you for sharing Bill’s service with us. Unshakeable Hope was truly a blessing to me and so many others. Mary – you & Bill raised two remarkable daughters and what they shared and said at his service is testimony to your family. I lost my father over two years ago and watching this service reminded me of times I would share Bill’s blog with him. I hope they meet in Heaven – two salesman with a great sense of humor and a deep and abiding love for Jesus. May God’s peace and the love of your family and friends bring you comfort.

  25. Good morning Mary and Family,
Thank you so much for the beautiful funeral and the video that allowed me to be a part of it. It was lovely. It brought tears to my eyes for so many reasons.
I’m so grateful that I got to be just a small part of you and Bill being on Moody Radio. Thank you that you were willing to do that and Chris Fabry’s program. I have talked about the two of you many times on the air at Moody and I will continue to because it’s such a testimony that all of our listeners will be strengthened by. From both of you.
Know that I pray for you each morning and evening, and God willing, we can stay in touch. I would love to encourage you as you are on this new journey now.
Much love, Nancy Turner, Moody Radio

  26. God bless your family.
I know that ya’ll love Bill very much. I love him too, and I admire how Christ reflected out of him.
I posted multiple posts about his death, both here and on Facebook. I just want you to know that Bill touched many lives in a good way, and his place among us Christians should be told in my opinion.

All glory to the risen Lord Jesus Christ, and no glory to us whatsoever.

God bless Bill, his wife Mary, the children, his family and friends. I share in their pain and joys. My husband of 47 years went to be with the Lord in July 2020 (with covid19). We were both missionaries in Nigeria… I can relate with Bill’s beautiful grace-filled and powerful words. God’s grace is always sufficient for any situation. It shines especially during hard times. This is also my testimony. I am now alone doing God’s work. Yet, I am not alone. I can never be alone, now and forever. Jesus our Lord promised ‘never to leave me or to forsake me’. May the Holy Spirit who is our Comforter embrace Mary and the children. The worship continues…

  28. A beautiful celebration of my brother William “Bill” Sweeney. Mary, do not think for once that just as I saw your husband in my spirit that I did not see you as well. I will like to build a friendship with you just as I had with Bill.

  30. Thank you Mary for the wonderful blessing of allowing us to be there through this medium as most of us have been with Bill over the last several years. What a great understated production it was, tender and warm, with a great spirit and atmosphere. I saw so much joy. Bill will always be missed but I am happy he is free. I’ve been to many funeral services but this one ranks up close to the top. You did an excellent job. And the consistent focus was always on our great, loving, compassionate, strong, and powerful Lord Jesus who made our eternal life on the other side possible through His great sacrifice of love. All praise, glory, and honor to Him.

Goodbye Bill. Thank you for being a part of our lives.

  35. That was a beautiful tribute to Bill. I’m glad he got to share of God’s faithfulness in his own memorial service through the recorded interview. I know it’s just what he would have wanted. He was a true hero to those of us who knew him. A TRUE HERO! We will miss him so much, but at the same time rejoice because we know he is with Jesus and enjoying his reward.
