Christian?

A Christian is someone who…

Has admitted they’re a member of the human race; a sinner; “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

Has realized that there are consequences to their sin in this life and for eternity; “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” & “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 6:23 & 5:8)

Has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior (repented of their sins and committed their life for Jesus Christ); “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”                                     (Romans 10:9-10)

  1. I like your blog a lot. In fact, I have not logged into my account for sometime, but you have brought me back.

  2. I am learning to, I have moments where I am with people from my life who are not Christians, and I fall. I left that life behind so I could lift my life out of the darkness it was in. I can not avoid the atheist world

  3. I am none of the above. I wouldn’t go as far as saying I’m an atheist but I am far from the Christian my parents raised me as.

I am however open-minded and as well as enjoying a good philosophical debate I have a huge interest and Bill and his condition.
I am also paralysed from the neck down and I’m on a ventilator 24 hours a day as I can’t breathe for myself.

I think I can learn something about strength through reading your posts.

    Best wishes

  4. I concur with your interpretation of what a Christian is …. being more about what we realize, expect, and do about ourselves and our behavoiur…. and not what we realize, expect, and do about others 🙂

    Bill,

I have been trying to figure out a simple way to share this on my blog page. I love how you broke it down. Now I have some ideas of how to write it up on my site.

    God Bless!

    Sincerely,
